Suspected pimps say alleged celeb prostitutes Nikita Mirzani and Puty Revita are no mere victims

Many people grew suspicious when the police were so quick to release celebs NM and PR (later revealed to be Nikita Mirzani and Puty Revita) from custody after they were apprehended in a suspected celebrity prostitution ring last Thursday.

The police named both Nikita Mirzani and Puty Revita as human trafficking victims in the case, while their suspected pimps, O and F, are facing human trafficking charges.

Osner Johnson Sianipar, O and F’s legal representation, believe Nikita and Puty should not be categorized as victims in this case.

“They’re victims if they were forced. But in this case, they weren’t. They wanted it too,” Osner told Tempo on Saturday, before adding that Nikita and Puty also set their rates for themselves.

“This is the weakness of Indonesian law. It should be that both parties get the same treatment in the eye of the law.”

Nikita previously denied she involved in prostitution and that she was just trying on new clothes when the police apprehended her in a room in the Hotel Indonesia Kempinski last Thursday.

The police say that NM and PR’s clients paid anywhere between Rp 50 million to Rp 120 million for three hours of their services.
