According to Indonesian officials, several bodies were found floating in the water near the site where debris, that officials have confirmed is from AirAsia QZ8501, was found.
MetroTV has been showing images of a bloated corpse, as well as the reactions of family members watching the footage.
According to the Associated Press, National Search and Rescue Director SB Supriyadi said the corpses were being taken to the closest city to the site, Pangkalan Bun. He said the corpses were not wearing life jackets.
