Blue Bird’s reputation as the most reliable and trustworthy taxi company in Jakarta took a massive hit today after videos and images showing their drivers taking part in violent protests made the rounds on social media today. Many netizens subsequently voiced their disappointment with the taxi company and plans to boycott them in the future.
To make up for today’s events, Blue Bird has decided to offer free rides in Jakarta tomorrow.“We are keeping our commitment to giving the best service. Tomorrow we’re giving free rides in our regular taxis for our customers,” said Blue Bird Commissioner Noni Sri Ayati during a press conference this afternoon, as quoted by Kompas.
The offer is valid in the Greater Jakarta Area all day tomorrow, starting at midnight tonight.
