‘RP’, a 30-year-old office employee in SCBD, South Jakarta, was mugged by her taxi driver and his accomplices last night. The police revealed there were similarities between last night’s mugging and the one that happened to ‘RW’ in Kuningan, South Jakarta, a few days ago.
“We’re still investigating the links. If we look at the methods, there’s a possibility that the perpetrators are the same,” said Heru Pranoto, Director of Public Crime Investigation at the Jakarta Police, as quoted by Detik today.
Heru said RP also got in a white taxi from the same undisclosed company last night. She was mugged after a man emerged from the trunk through the foldable back seat, exactly like what happened to RW last Friday.
The police are still trying to locate the taxi driver and his accomplices.In the meantime, perhaps you should avoid white taxis, especially late at night.
