New trailer for Iko Uwais’ next extreme action movie “Headshot” features 78% more asskicking

As huge fans of The Raid and its sequel, we have been eagerly anticipating action hero Iko Uwais’ latest big screen slugfest, “Headshot”. After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival to rave reviews and earning top honors at Paris’ L’Étrange Festival, our expectations shot even higher, but still we had our doubts whether this film could live up to The Raid’s unbelievable action sequences

Well, this newly released trailer does just about all we could’ve hoped for in terms of showing us the level of action “Headshot” has to offer. If you are a fan of gun fights, machete fights and/or general asskickery, this looks like a movie you’ve got to see.

“Headshot” was directed by the Mo Brothers (Kimo Stamboel and Timo Tjahjanto, directors of “Macabre” and “Killers”), and features Iko playing a patient, called Ishmael, who wakes up without any memories after suffering a bullet to the head. He is nursed back to health by a young doctor named Ailin, played by Chelsea Islan. Ishmael is forced to fight an army of criminals from his former life in order to save Ailin after she is kidnapped leading to plenty of violence. Sweet, sweet violence.

According to the film’s IMDB page, “Headshot” is scheduled to hit theaters in Indonesia on December 25. What a bloody brilliant Christmas gift that would make.
