Go green at Shrek the Musical

Musical lovers in Jakarta were treated to a few big budget international productions last year, including ‘The Sound of Music’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Now Jakartans can catch ‘Shrek the Musical’, which will be hitting the stage of the Ciputra Artpreneur Theater from May 5-22, 2016. The production brings the grumpy ogre and his pals to life with impressive special effects and costumes (that we find frightening but will probably delight small children). Shrek the Musical features the original film’s catchy songs plus several original ones with lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Olivier Award-winner Jeanine Tesori. Tickets start at Rp 750k. For more info and to buy tickets go to http://www.kiostix.com/tuk_kiostixevt/shrek-the-musical/
