Last Dinosaurs and Panama headline Music Gallery – “the biggest international indie music festival in Indonesia” (Mar 12)

Now in it’s 6th year, The Music Gallery is billed as Indonesia’s “biggest international indie music festival”. Taking place in the ballroom of Kuningan City mall, it features two stages and a lineup of 17 acts both local and international.

Headlining this year’s festival are two bands that should be familiar to anybody down with Australia’s indie scene – Last Dinosaurs and Panama.

Hailing from Brisbane, Last Dinosaurs is best known for the success of their 2012 breakthrough album “In a Million Years” which tore through the charts and led to numerous sold-out concerts. Their latest album, 2015’s “Wellness” also shows of the bands thoughtful dance-punk beats layered with synthpop stylings.

Panama is one of the hottest electronic acts in Sydney, known for their sweeping power ballads and piano-pop flourishes.

Sharing the stages with the Aussies will be some of Indonesia’s best indie bands, including long-time legends such as Mocca and The Adams as well as up-and-comers such as Elephant Kind and Kelompok Penerbang Roket.

The festival starts at 2pm on Saturday and here’s the official rundown for the day:
