Australian psych-rockers Tame Impala are headed to Jakarta for a show at Parkir Selatan Senayan in later April. Following their recent tours in Australia, US and Europe, Tame Impala is now set to grace the stage Jakarta with their full live band and equally impressive visuals.
After forming in 2007 Tame Impala built their success off of their first two albums, “Innerspeaker” (2010) and “Lonerism” (2012). In between albums they’ve toured across the US and Europe multiple times, playing festivals such as California’s Coachella, Lollapalooza and countless others.
The band’s latest album, “Currents”, has received much acclaim and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album. It has been rated 9.3 by music website Pitchfork and received a string of awards at last years ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association). Album single “The Less I Know the Better” took out #4 in this year’s prominent Australian music chart, The Triple J Hottest 100.
A ticket price for the event is still yet to be announced, but will eventually be available for purchase through Kios Tix.
