Indomie Goreng flavored potato chips will soon be a real thing!

The wildest snack fantasies of many Indonesians are about to become a reality. That’s right, Indomie Goreng flavored potato chips are soon going to hit the market.

The news comes directly from the Twitter account of Axton Salim, the director of Indofood Group, which produces Indomie.

For lovers of the intense MSG-packed goodness of both Indomie Goreng and Chitato potato chips, the news seems almost too good to be true. But Indofood’s general manager of corporate communications, Stefanus Indrayana, confirmed that they were in fact a real product that consumers will soon be able to get a taste of.

“That is the initial production of the new Chitato product, but it is not yet on the market. It’s not just for [Axton’s] birthday,” Stefanus told Kompas.

Although Axton said they would be a limited edition product, we can see these being wildly popular if they get the flavor right, which could possibly lead to even more Indomie flavored chips in the future. Perhaps an Indomie Rasa Soto flavored chip? Or Indomie Goreng Rendang crisps? Just thinking about the possibilities is making our mouths water and our sodium levels go through the roof.
