Lily Elizabeth Marie, 42, appeared to testify in front of judges at the Tangerang District Court today. She was in tears.
She told the judges about the torment of living with her husband, Edy Sulistio, whom she reported to authorities for domestic violence.
Lily said Edy often threatened and abused her physically and psychologically. It began when Edy tried to force Lily to have sex with other people.
“I always refused, he asked if we could have a threesome,” Lily said on Wednesday, as quoted by Tempo.
Denied, Edy was upset and threatened to marry another woman. He also forced Lily to lose weight for him.
“I was given three months to lose weight. If I wasn’t skinny, he would divorce me,” she said.
Lily admitted that she weighed 90 kg at one point. After a strict diet and hiring five personal trainers, Lily now weighs 50 kg, though she believes the weight loss was caused by the psychological depression she endured while living with Edy.
The case is ongoing.
