Garuda Airlines wins “World’s Best Cabin Crew” Award from Skytrax for second year in a row

Garuda Airlines has come a long way in a few years. After some tough times during the 2000s, including getting banned from flying into the EU from 2007-2009, Garuda Airlines has practically undergone a rebirth in recent years. It has become one of the most highly-rated airlines in all of Asia and with its latest award it’s safe to say its one of the top airlines in the world.

For the second year in a row, Garuda Airlines won the “The World’s Best Cabin Crew” Award from Skytrax, a London-based, independent airline ranking agency. The award was presented during the Paris Airshow.

The award was given to Garuda Indonesia based on a global customer satisfaction survey conducted by Skytrax of more than 18 million passengers. The survey, which covers 245 international airlines, is held every year and measures standards across 41 key performance indicators of airline products and services.

Commenting on the award, the airline’s president and CEO, M. Arif Wibowo said, “Garuda Indonesia’s success in winning the “The World’s Best Cabin Crew” title once more in 2015 reflects the tireless hard work and deep commitment from everyone at Garuda Indonesia, in particular our cabin crew, to deliver service of the highest standard to our passengers.”

Garuda Airlines has racked up some other impressive awards from Skytrax, including being named “The World’s Best Economy Class” in 2013, and winning the title of “5-Star Airline” in 2014. Currently, Garuda Indonesia ranks seventh in the list of “The World’s Best Airlines”.
