If you’re the sort of person who enjoys alcohol, the following pictures may disturb you.
On Monday, Agence France-Presse photographer Adek Berry took these photos of Jakarta Police laying thousands of bottle of alcohol out on a blue tarp and then smashing them with a road roller.
The police also destroyed several packages of marijuana as part of the photo op for the media.
The drugs and booze were destroyed as part of the police’s pre-Ramadan crackdown on sinful substances. Ramadan officially begins in Indonesia tomorrow, June 18.
