Remember Wina Lie? She’s the widow from Yogyakarta whose real estate ad went viral all over the world two months ago because it included the provocative headline “Buy this house and you may marry the owner”.
Wina’s real estate agent had the idea of helping her friend find a new husband while also finding a buyer for her house, but after the ad got media coverage all over the world, 40-year-old Wina was flooded with offers to buy the Rp 999 million building and her hand in marriage.
But it seems like Wina might have finally found her property purchasing Prince Charming.
“[I’ve already found a buyer, his name is Redi Eko, he’s a 40-year-old widow from Lampung, but he wants to stay in Yogya. He contacted me and it seems like a good fit,” Wina told Kompas.
Redi said he’s already planning to move to Yogya anyways to be closer to his daughters. He said he will sell his house in Lampung in order to buy Wina’s house.
Although the two of them have not yet met in person, apparently they’ve been in close contact since April 20 and have already made plans to go on a pilgrimage to Mecca together.
“We’ve been communicating every day, on the phone every day. We are very in tune. It’s like we’ve known each other for a long time,” she told Detik.
According to Detik, Wina and Redi’s first face-to-face meeting will actually be tonight on national TV (no pressure!). We hope that the two of them get along and they are able to live together happily ever after in Wina’s famous house.
