Despite all attempts to eliminate it, we know that prostitution is alive and well in Jakarta. So well, in fact, that people are willing to spend hundreds of millions of Rupiah just to sleep with young rising celebs and models.
On Friday, police arrested Robbie Abbas AKA Obbie, a 32-year-old pimp and his sex worker, a young celeb who police are identifying by the initials ‘AA’ after she had served an anonymous client at a hotel in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
What’s really shocking about this case is that AA’s clients supposedly pay Rp 80 million for a ‘short-time’ session of 3 hours.
In fact, police say a client would have to pay somewhere in the region of Rp 200 million for AA’s ‘full’ services, including paying for a room at a five-star hotel. It’s an extremely lucrative business for AA and Obbie, who admitted he earns Rp 120 million a day, and that’s just from his 30% commission.
Who’s crazy or filthy rich enough to afford a prostitute like AA? A rich businessman, who was identified by his initials DO, contacted Warta Kota yesterday and said that he hired AA once for a 2-day trip to Singapore for Rp 200 million.
“[I hired her] to relieve stress. It wasn’t always about sex. It was just an occasional thing to relieve boredom,” DO said, as quoted by Warta Kota.
So who is this AA? Rumors swirling around the internet suggests that she is Amel Alvi, a 22-year-old adult model and actress in some god-awful Indonesian horror films. This is her in a sultry video clip, singing about her desire for a man to “coblos” (pierce into) her, which is a not-so-subtle euphemism for sex:
However, Amel Alvi denied that she was the AA everybody’s talking about lately:

It seems we may never know AA’s identity for certain. The police released her on Saturday evening as she wasn’t being charged with any crime. The police say AA was just a witness in this case as she was merely “an object” that was being sold for sex by another party.
But the photo of the woman being interrogated by the police in this link bears an uncanny resemblance to Amel Alvi.
Meanwhile, Obbie was not so lucky. He is still under police custody and could face some jail time for “facilitating obscene acts.”
Soon, the police say they will summon more than 20 celebs and models who were under Obbie’s employment as witnesses to testify against him. This case is just getting started, and it’s heating up already.
