Drowned University of Indonesia student left behind a suicide note

Lake Kenanga, where the body of University of Indonesia student Akseyna Ahad Dori was found last Thursday

Nineteen-year-old University of Indonesia (UI) biology student Akseyna Ahad Dori was found dead in the Kenanga Lake on the UI campus last Thursday under mysterious circumstances that led some people to believe he may have been murdered

Now, the police have a strong reason to suspect Akseyna committed suicide after finding a suicide note in his room. The note simply reads:

Don’t look for me. I am going far away. I’m sorry.

The police also didn’t find any injuries on the Akseyna’s body, further strengthening the suspicions of suicide.

“He was a smart kid. He even took part in a national biology Olympics. Maybe he committed suicide after his grades got worse or because he had any other problems. We’re looking into it,” said Agus Salim, head of the Crime Investigation Unit at the Depok Police, as quoted by  Vivanews today.

Aysena was found dead in the Kenanga Lake last Thursday, wearing a UI sweater and a backpack filled with large stones.
