While most Jakartans can only dream about earning an astronomical Rp 290 million per month, 27-year-old dangdut singer Roro Fitria claims she spends around that figure each month on beauty products.
On the TV talk show Pesbukers, Roro proudly admitted that she really looks after her physical appearance.
“It’s expensive, but physical appearance is important. I take care of my beauty and my body from the hair down to the tip of my toes,” Roro said, as quoted by Vivanews today.
“But that (the Rp 290 million) doesn’t cover for everything. I’d have to spend more if I got facials and face masks.”
Roro said she’s maintaining her appearance to appease the public and her fans.
“There’s no problem. It’s true that taking care of my body [is tough], but what’s important is that I’m beautiful,” she said with laughter.
While Roro has every right to spend her money any way she wants, we can’t help but wish that she would spend it on something less… temporary.
