VIDEO: The best French punk rock song about Indonesian food you’ll hear today!

Not all French people stick to cheese, baguettes and wine. Some are also fans of krupuk, bakso, sayur lodeh and a wide variety of other Indonesian culinary delights.

The above video, uploaded by Fransoa Indonesia, lyrically lists many of Indonesia’s most rockingly enak dishes. As the description for the video states:

“Lagu pertama di dunia dengan 43 masakan tradisional Indonesia SAJA !!! Lama hidup Indonesia!” (“First song in the world ever with 43 traditional Indonesian dishes. Long live Indonesia!”)

“Aku Lapar” is a delicious parody of the song “Ca Plane Pour Moi” by Plastic Bertrand.

The description of the video also says “the video is NOT for commercial purpose, it was made with love and friends and the help of generous sponsor.”

That sponsor was The Bistrot, a well-regarded French restaurant located in Seminyak, Bali, which must be happy with all the exposure they’re getting from the video’s nearly 100,000 views so far.

Although anybody coming because of this video may be upset when they don’t find bakso on the menu.
