Elvira Devinamira is juggling the all-important Miss Universe pageant and the photo scandal above
Miss Indonesia 2014 Elvira Devinamira has a lot on her plate at the moment – and the recent photo scandal with KPK Chief Abraham Samad certainly isn’t helping.
Elvira, who is in Miami, USA, is under quarantine with other contestants in the lead up to the Miss Universe 2015 pageant on January 25.
“I am focused on trying as best as I can to give the best for Indonesia in the Miss Universe 2015 contest,” she said in an official statement through the Miss Indonesia Foundation, as quoted by Warta Kota today.
Elvira also denied the authenticity of the scandalous photos.
“It’s not true dong. I know him, but only as far as in relation to the [Miss Indonesia] Foundation and the KPK, as I am the female ambassador for anticorruption. This is not between Vira (Elvira) and Abraham Samad,” she wrote in a text message to Warta Kota.
Before the incriminating photos were spread yesterday, both Elvira Devinamira and Abraham Samad attended a couple of KPK’s anticorruption events in March 2014 and December 2014. But Elvira clarified that her relationship with Abraham Samad is nothing like the photos suggested.
“The photos aren’t real. I think that is confirmation is enough,” she said.
