The co-Pilot of a Hercules C130 search and rescue plane, First Flight Lieutenant Tri Wibowo, said he saw objects that looked like a human body, a suitcase, life jackets, and plane debris floating in the Air Asia QZ8501 search area in the Karimata Sea.

As for the object that resembled a human body, Tri said he thought he saw someone waving towards his aircraft. But as he got closer, he saw that the object looked more like a bloated corpse floating in the water.

“I initially thought it looked like a person waving, maybe because they saw the airplane. But as we got closer, it looked like a bloated body. The body looked like it was waving because of the waves,” Tri said in Pangkalan Bun this afternoon, as quoted by Kompas

Tri said he saw the floating objects at around 11 am today, after he co-piloted the plane around the South coast of Borneo for five hours to look for the Air Asia flight QZ8501, which has been missing since Sunday.
