Following the success of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg biopic The Social Network, it’s not a surprise that film producers in Indonesia are planning to make their own film about a young, successful Internet entrepreneur – namely Kaskus founder Andrew Darwis.

Naya Anindita, who is known for her short film Anna & Ballerina and contributing to part of the omnibus feature Sinema Purnama, will direct the Andrew Darwis biopic.

“So this film will tell the story of Andrew’s background. We start shooting in March [2015],” Naya said, as quoted by Kapanlagi.

According to Naya, the film will depict how Andrew founded Kaskus in 1999 and developed it into a successful forum that has over 3 million members today.

The film will be shot in Jakarta and Seattle, Washington, where Andrew went to university.

“The film will have a very youthful feel, full of technology and the Internet. But I can’t say much, it’s still a secret,” Naya said.

Other than the production start date, details about the film are being kept under wraps. There is no information on who will portray the Kaskus founder or when the film will be released in Indonesia.
