For the first time since the presidential elections in July, president-elect Jokowi and losing presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto will meet in person.
According to PDI-P politician Aria Bima, Jokowi will visit Prabowo at the Gerindra chairman’s home in Jalan Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
“It’s confirmed, they will meet in Kertanegara at around 10 am,” said Aria Bima as quoted by Kompas.com.
Aria could not confirm whether this means Prabowo would attend Jokowi’s inauguration next Monday.
We hope, for the sake of the nation, this is the first step to reconciliation between Jokowi’s Indonesia Hebat coalition of political parties and Prabowo’s Merah Putih coalition. We really can’t have the two bickering with each other all the time.
