On Monday, the Regional Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPID) of Central Java prohibited local broadcasters in the region from playing five songs they judged to be pornographic and promoting free sex. Fortunately Youtube has still got them all up for your listening pleasure.
According to Setyo Budi Purnomo, Chairman of the Central Java KPID, the five songs banned “for suggesting promiscuity” are:
‘Hamil Duluan‘ (Pregnant First) by Tuty Wibowo
‘Maaf Kamu Hamil Duluan‘ (‘Sorry I Got You Pregnant Before’) by Ageng Kiwi
‘Pengen Dibolongi‘ (Want to Get Stuffed) by Aan Anisa
‘Apa Saja Boleh’ (‘Everything Goes’) by Della Puspita
‘Mobil Bergoyang‘ (Shaking Car) by Lia MJ and Asep Rumpi
In addition to the five songs deemed too hot to broadcast, the KPID also listed 38 songs that could only be played on the radio from 10pm to 3am because “their obscene connotations cannot educate, so they should only be heard by adults.”
Budi explained, that the 43 songs that were prohibited or restricted were decided upon from the results of a KPID survey of songs played on radio stations throughout Central Java.
According to Budi, KPID Central Java has intensified efforts to prevent broadcasters from playing these songs, with the aim of protecting the younger generation from destruction. “Pornographic songs could damage a child’s mindset and degrade women,” he said.
Budi urged all broadcasters in Central Java to comply with the ban because, if they violated it, the KPID would not hesitate to hand out strict punishment including termination of broadcasting licenses.
“In addition, we also asked broadcasters to have internal censors to prevent twisted songs that are pornographic from being played,” he said.
